Alanna was transferred from another rescue in New York state, having come into their care from mass transfer of dogs from a hoarding situation in the South.
That rescue had taken her in and begun treatment for her poor state of health when BSR spotted her on a rescue web page and offered to take her into our care. She had had pyometra and 4 mammary tumors when she came into care with the other rescue, and they had her spayed and the tumors biopsied: 2 of the sites were confirmed as malignant. Now, BSR is ensuring that she lives out her days peacefully in a permanent foster home in upstate New York. Under BSR's PFC program Alanna is getting all the love, medical care and all the attention she lacked in her former life!
