Harry (with help from his PFC Mom) wrote his story.
I'm a work in progress! I was in sad shape in November, 2009. Running the streets, begging for handouts, looking for love in all the wrong places. I was really, really sick. A group of people called Boykin Spaniel Rescue took me in. I have awful environmental allergies...all the stuff a dog likes...grass, trees, weeds, etc. I'm allergic to it all and it's caused some significant (and expensive) health complications along the way. BSR, my permanent foster family, and an excellent team of Doctors work together to take great care of me and I'm doing fine now. My siblings include 3 other LBDs (that's short for Little Brown Dogs) All females...I call them my harem. Maisie and Scout are the hand picked furkids, and Sammie is another BSR PFC (that's short for Permanent Foster Care) We also have 3 foster failure felines. Again, all girls. I'm the lone boy, except for Dad, and Mom says I'm rotten, and the "onliest" boy allowed. Yep, I hit the jackpot! It's through generous donations of time, services, and money, as well as dedicated volunteers who foster, transport and go the extra mile, that Rescues like me get a 2nd chance for a good life. We wouldn't have that without you, and I thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart!! I have one thing to ask for...next time you're in search of a furry friend for your family, please consider opening your heart and home to a rescue animal. Try it, you'll like us. We're pretty special too!!
