PFC Herbie

​Herbie entered BSR's care at 7 years old in March 2023, after being with another rescue for over a year while they tried to get a handle on his rampant skin, coat, and allergy issues.  Since he came into BSR's care, his care has been coordinated between his permanent foster's own regular vet as well as a veterinary specialist at UGA. Herbie's progress has been slow but steady and the majority of his fur has grown back. He is getting allergy shots, ear treatments, and weekly medicated baths along with a specialty diet. In 2024 he had a successful cancer surgery and just recently had a comprehensive dental evaluation and got a good cleaning but had to have 7 teeth removed due to damage and decay. He is a work in process but is happy and well-loved by his foster family!
