Hope has had a long and arduous journey. She came into BSR's care in 2015, heartworm positive, malnourished and with significant musculoskeletal issue which required surgery to correct. With the care of amazing fosters and a great treatment plan, Hope is pain free. Her PFC foster parents report that with all the water therapy, she has developed a real love of swimming! The changes in Hope are dramatic! She now plays with toys, swims with passion, eats like a lady, runs with grace, gives kisses that could go on forever, and walks at heel (usually). She demonstrates her love for retrieving by plucking a tomato from the vine, gently bringing it to us, and easily giving it up - mostly unbruised! Her coat has gone from a flat, wiry, dull brown, to full on curly, shiny Boykin perfection. And her eyes, reflect the gratitude and love of all the Boykin people in her life.
