PFC Miss Brownie

​Miss Brownie is a 12-year-old senior that entered BSR's care in May 2024. She had been left at a shelter in rural VA and is estimated to be around 12 years old. Her ears were in horrific shape, and it is suspected that she has had a life-long history of ear infections leaving permanent damage to the ears to the point where she was experiencing vertigo. A dermatologist has been consulted to look at the infections. Management of her ears will be a long-life endeavor requiring constant attention and monitoring. And this year, she experienced severe vertigo, and the vet and my foster helped her get through the episode.  It has not occurred again.
