BSR Alum "Beemer" by Larry & Laura Oxford
We wanted a younger Boykin to be a companion for our older Boykin (Hershey) that adopted us in 2003 and boy did we get one - LOL. Beemer is still "PUPPY" in all senses of the word. Sometimes we call him the little brown tornado because he doesn't know when to slow down. He loves to play with all of his toys but is really partial to playing fetch with a ball and chewing on Nylabones or deer antlers.
He sleeps at the foot of the bed at Mama's feet at night and Hershey gets the whole dog bed to himself because he can't quite make it up on the bed at night. If Laura gets up first, she has her coffee and the dogs get a few treats before their breakfast and then Beemer goes running and bumps the bedroom door open so he can jump on the bed and give his Pop lots of kisses. If he is up he doesn't want anyone else to sleep.
He and Hershey are both Mama's boys except when she goes to work; then they become dad's shadow and want to be his "shop dogs" in his wood shop until they hear the garage door open then they abandon him and go running to Mama.
