Boykin Spaniel Rescue, Inc.™ offers three (3) Programs to assist in re-homing dogs:
Owner Surrender
An owner surrender refers to a dog in which BSR deems the dog at-risk, and therefore is legally transferred to BSR™. BSR™ will fully vet and evaluate each dog to determine the needs of the dog. Once determined, the dog will be rehabilitated until cleared for adoption.
Owner Assist
If needed, BSR™ can assist owners in re-homing their Boykins themselves by connecting the owner with pre-approved applicants for their consideration. The applicant and the owner determine if there is a match, but BSR is not involved in the determination of placement. Owners may not ask for a re-homing fee if they want to work with BSR for this purpose. Dogs eligible for Owner Assisted re-homing must be neutered or spayed, up to date on vet care and healthy, and have no behavioral issues or history of aggression. Owner Referral
BSR™ will post the availability of the dog on our website for a small fee, and the owner may be contacted by anyone seeing the post (approved applicant or the general public). Please click here for more information.

As you make your estate plans, please consider your dogs. BSR™ has created an Advanced Health & Final Directives document which you can complete so you can make your wishes known.
