Boykin Spaniel Rescue, Inc. offers three (3) Programs to assist in rehoming dogs:
An owner surrender refers to a dog in which BSR deems the dog at-risk, and therefore is legally transferred to BSR. BSR will fully vet and evaluate each dog to determine the needs of the dog. Once determined, the dog will be rehabilitated until cleared for adoption.
BSR does provide owner assist services. In this situation, we connect the owner with pre-approved applicants. The applicant and the owner determine if there is a match. BSR is not involved in the determination of placement. Click here for suggested talking points when selecting an applicant.
BSR will post the availability of the dog on our website for a small fee, and the owner may be contacted by anyone seeing the post (approved applicant or the general public). Please click here for more information.
If you need more information, or to further discuss any of the options above, please contact Jeannine Culbertson, by clicking here.
Brown Dogs in the Military Program
If you are in the military, and being deployed, we have a network of approved volunteers interested in fostering. Click here for more information.
