BSR™ Owner Referral

We know that circumstances can arise when Boykin owners feel they must give up their dog. We urge you to consider alternatives and read Keeping Your Boykin. If you have exhausted all of the alternatives to keeping your dog, then BSR™ can help you in finding your Boykin Spaniel a good home. We will list your dog on our site if the dog meets Boykin Spaniel Criteria listed below and you agree to the Owner Referral Terms and Conditions.

Boykin Spaniel Criteria

  *  The dog must be a purebred Boykin Spaniel 
  *  It must be spayed or neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations - vet certificates are required for verification.
  *  The dog must not have shown aggressive tendencies or ever bitten any person.

Owner Referral Terms and Conditions
  •   Owner may not charge a fee for the dog.
  •   Owner submits a $25 donation for the first 2-month listing. Owner may notify BSR to re-list for an additional 2 months for a $10          donation and continue to list with a $10 donation for each additional 2-month listing thereafter.
  •   Owner completes and signs a Referral Release form and returns it to Boykin Spaniel Rescue, Inc.™ (address listed on form) with appropriate fees and vet certificates.
  •   Owner sends BSR proof of spay/neuter and current vaccinations in the form of vet certificates.
  •   Owner sends BSR an ad for referral dog with the following information:
            Name
            Age
            Sex
            Size
            Temperament & personality
            Any health or behavioral problems
            Amount of training
            How long owner has had dog
            How well dog does with children, cats and other dogs
            What kind of home owner thinks would be best for dog
            Owner name, phone number and/or email address you want listed on site
            Photo of the dog
  •  Boykin Spaniel Rescue, Inc.™ reserves the right to edit the ad before posting.
  •  Owner is responsible for screening potential adopters and for placing referral dog in a new home. Please see our Guidelines for        Screening Potential Adopters
  •  Boykin Spaniel Rescue, Inc.™ may refer its applicants to owners when it feels there may be a suitable match for the dog but is not required to do so.
  •   Boykin Spaniel Rescue, Inc.™ reserves the right to refuse any owner ad and will refund any fees submitted if the ad is refused.
  •  Boykin Spaniel Rescue, Inc.™ assumes no responsibility or liability for the placement of any owner referral dog.
