Günter had been in 2 homes already before he was 6 months old. He had been crated for incredibly long hours in his first home and had been mistreated with an e-collar when he had accidents; and, his second owner tried to help his behaviors and anxieties. BSR was contacted, and Günter went to a foster with plenty of young pup experience and a steady presence at home to help him past his early life traumas. He has begun to show progress and it was determined that it was in his best interests not to undergo another move but rather be adopted by his foster.

2021 Update: Günter says: I am one happy 2-year-old Boykin! Loving my active life with my fur family (2 cats and 2 dogs) and my human family (mom, dad and big brother). My days are filled with fun activities that I love to do: we go trailing, kayaking, swimming, boating and for walks on the beach or in our neighborhood. In the past 15 months, my 3-year-old best buddy, Rosie, has taught me a lot about how to be an obedient LBD and she continues to be my guide.
