Gunner was a young Boykin in need of good vetting and training. He craved human company and would often escape his yard to find some! He was a serious fence-climbing expert, and he became too much to handle for his owners. Once in BSR, he was cleaned up, vetted, and began to learn the new rules set by his fosters. He was a ready student just wanting to please! By the time he was ready for a new home, his adopter felt that he needed a new name to go with his transformation! So "Gunther" went to live his best life in coastal South Carolina.
2021 Update!
Hi,
Thanks for the “Gotcha Day” card. I just wanted to give you a quick update on Gunther. He and his BSR alum sister Rosie are both thriving. Unlike the rest of us, they loved the pandemic since I worked from home all the time. They are now adjusting to a more normal schedule.
We still take 2 or 3 trips to the beach every week. They are both passionate swimmers and retrievers.
