BSR Alum Hershey (formerly Slim) by Ann & Chap Breard
Bio: Hershey was a VERY sick young pup when he came into care. A good Samaritan pulled him from a kill shelter in the rural south, and turned him in to BSR to save him! HW+ and so sick and malnourished that he could not withstand the normal round of shots, Hershey took more than a year to return to health and beat the heartworms, but as he did his loving, spirited personality emerged!
2019 Update: Hershey is an incredible dog and we could not imagine life without him. He and our other Boykin have become inseparable. We take him for long walks sometimes twice a day and his favorite hobby is to paly ball any time he can.
He now rides in the car with very little anxiety. He is a big bundle of love. I am sending you a picture of what looks like a curled up Boykin but it is actually both of my Boykins curled up together fast asleep! We are thankful every day to have him.
