BSR 991 Jasper's Story by Robin McBeath
Jasper was 6 years old and weighed a solid 53 pounds--without an inch of fat--when he was with BSR. He had a beautiful coat, lovely Boykin ears and a fun top knot that got lots of comments. Jasper loved being the center of attention and would push himself on people if he felt he was not getting enough.
Jasper needed continued work with basic obedience and the opportunity for lots of exercise with his people to keep him happy. Since he was big and dominant, he needed to be in a home without small children that he might knock over, and without other pets to compete for attention, and he was adopted out by just the right family to meet his needs!

2019 Update:
Hello BSR Friends,
I have BSR #993 Jasper and received a Happy Gotcha Day card today. Thank you for keeping in touch! Attached are 2 pics of Jasper this week. Also I will send a separate email with 2 more recent pics.
Jasper is 8 ½ years old and is happy and doing great. He enjoys almost everyday with someone being home with him. His favorite thing to do is chase squirrels and then come back to his bed in our home office where he can be close to us. He has had a few painful episodes with his back, but his pain is well controlled with medication and monitoring.
Jasper loves my husband best. Although he is slow to warm to people, he went directly to husband when I first introduced them. Jasper lives for their time together and luckily, they are together a good portion of every day.
We are very thankful for Jasper and all that you do for all Boykins. Jasper has brought so many laughs and much happiness to our lives.
