Thank you for Ruger’s happy gotcha day card! (I think you refer to him as Hunter which was his name during his foster care). He is doing AWESOME! He is just the sweetest boy. So loving towards us. He had really seemed to “relax” much more in the past month. They always say it takes about a year and I guess that’s true. We are so very thankful that Kathy chose us to be his parents. We can’t imagine our life without our boy Ruger. He is so calm it’s funny. As long as someone doesn’t knock on the door. Lol! He is playing on occasion with his little sister Fern. He’s pretty rough when he does play but she’s willing to take whatever he gives just so he will play with her. She loves him. We could not be happier with our boy. It hurts to know be had been neglected and left at a shelter by his former owners. But we try to remember that we would not have him today if all of that hadn’t happened, and we just try to give him the happiest and best possible life he can live. Our vet says he hit the jackpot! We feel the same way about Ruger. I wish I could post things on BSR about him but as Jeannine put it, he’s in the witness protection program and we don’t want his former owners to be able to find him. So we just brag about him once in a while on our own Facebook pages which have privacy settings. All our friends and family who have met Ruger just love him. He is so fond of our adult sons, and even pouts a while when they leave. It’s the cutest thing.
