BSR Alum "Scout" by Elizabeth Slater
I'm Scout, the happiest dog you'll ever meet! I was rescued by my foster parents about a year ago after Mom said her heart would break if she had to give me up. When they picked me up, I had a scar from a collar that had grown into my neck. I also had a lot of hair missing, major skin problems and was pretty stinky. That didn't stop my Dad from letting me sit in his lap the whole ride home from Blue Ridge to Statesboro, Georgia!
From that day on I was a happy pup. Mom and Dad put me on a grain free diet (just like my Mom!) so everything's great now! I gained ten pounds and ALL of my hair is back (times three).
I absolutely love to sit outside and watch the birds and squirrels. I'm a natural at chasing all things that move. My other favorite thing is cuddling. I always want to be in my parents' laps when I'm not outside. I also LOVE riding in the Jeep with my sister Emmie Kate, the wire-haired pointing griffon rescue. She's supposed to be a hunting dog too, but she just likes to point at toads in the yard. I'm slowly teaching her to point at squirrels.
I'm so glad BSR helped me find my parents! Please donate your time or money to help out this great organization!
