Sophie was a very high energy, eight-month-old female who had been surrendered by her owner when he found he didn't have the time to reign in her wild ways! She demonstrated a talent for retrieving and the "birdiness" needed to become a hunting Boykin. In the interest of helping her develop her skills, she was placed with a retired adopter who had the time, talent and commitment to help her become her best self. Training her to be his quail hunting partner has given her the job she needed!
2021 Update:
Hello Folks, Sophie would like to thank you for the card. I am typing for her since she has a little trouble with my phone. As you can see, she says her hunting is coming along nicely. She enjoys life here on our farm and has enjoyed visiting with Peggy, our pig. She is my shadow outside every day and rolls over to rest in the evening. A special treat for me is that she runs down the lane every morning and brings back the morning paper! A fun little dog! Thanks for the opportunity. Ken Bell
