Bio: Originally called "Coco," Tootsie was pulled from a Texas shelter and found to be heartworm positive. Her coat was in poor shape and she was underweight as well. A foster was found to take her through the 4-month course of treatment to rid her of heartworms, and given the length of time she was in care, she was adopted by the foster.
2020 Update: Dear BSR community,
I want to report that I am doing great! I love my mom and dad, although I spend so much time with my dad who works from home that I really miss him when he has to leave the house. I have made lots of friends here in Durango, Colorado. My friend Hooper and I are the same color so people think we were from the same litter.
I love the snow and sleeping near the Christmas tree and playing with my tennis ball and chasing the cat from time to time. In the summer I especially love boat rides, and swimming.
My vet says I’m doing great too. I maintain my weight at 32lbs and am on a grain free diet mostly. I’m itchy so we stay away from chicken too.
Thanks for helping me find my forever home.
Happy holidays.
Tootsie Ossola Turner. (Ps. My mom Tori and dad Jack say thanks so much. They wouldn’t know what to do without me. )
