BSR Alum "Tucker" by John McCrae
My name is Tucker and I have just moved to Charlottesville to live with John and Pat McCray. People call me a rescue, but I think of myself as a transfer. My first human father was an elderly gentleman who raised me from a puppy, cared for me and loved me. I returned that love and believe I brought joy to his later years. Unfortunately, my Dad got very, very sick and could no longer care for me. The marvelous folks at Boykin Spaniel Rescue helped me find my new parents.
As you can see I am a handsome devil, if I do say so myself, and a svelte 30 pounds. I am seven years old and I think the touch of grey on my muzzle lends a distinguished air. Don't you agree? I am a proud castrati, but will not be singing mezzo "pants" roles in any Poochini operas. I have the classic booming Boykin baritone voice.
I look forward to seeing you around town, on my brisk morning exercise, lunch on the Downtown Mall, leisurely evening stroll, or just chilling in my new Dad's cool ride.
